Regular readers will know that I’m not much of a cook, which is why I was so excited to try Everdine! Each week they can delivery a selection of pre-cooked meals, produced from sustainable sources by Michelin-starred chiefs. Each meal is frozen, before being couriered direct to your door in speciality developed packing to prevent defrosting.
I’m not usually a fan of microwave meals, but Everdine provides food that isn’t packed with preserves and additives. Freezing locks in all the goodness, meaning all you have to do at home is warm the meals up. Each delivery contains either 8 or 12 meals (it’s up to you), from a huge plethora of classic or vegetarian meals. I’ve selected 6 veggie, and two chicken dishes – some of which need to be microwaved, while others need to be oven heated. I was so surprised so easy it was to cook both kids of dishes – the full meal comes in one recyclable tray, that’s both microwave and oven safe. Cooking time ranged from 6 minutes to 20 minutes, which means these can even be enjoyed during a lunch hour at work.

Each meal has been delicious! I was dubious of microwaved chicken as my only pervious experience has been supermarket meals – don’t compare these to what you’d find in the supermarket, these are superior quality! If someone had served any of these dishes to me, I would of never guessed they were frozen convenience meals!
