Another season of Paris Fashion Week has just concluded, and easily one of the biggest and most noticeable trends has to be the use of prints and patterns. Here’s some of my favourite:
Miharayasuhiro
Miharayasuhiro used a combination of prints throughout their collection; from paisley, to acid-effect tie dies, and animal spots.
Dior Homme
Kris Van Assche’s collection for Dior Homme combined scribbles and signature-esque style prints across formal and casual pieces.
Comme Des Garçons Shirt
Using cut and sew techniques Comme Des Garcons Shirt layered varying prints over yet more prints!
Kenzo
It’s no surprise that Kenzo returned to the runway with an abundance of prints in the form of spots and stripes.
Gosha Rubchinskiy
Gosha chose to produce garments in checks, ginghams and camouflage, sitting with block colours.
Comme des Garçons Homme Plus
In their second showing of the season, Comme continued the theme of playful prints with flashed of animal pots teamed with stripes.
Cerruti
In a more understated manor, Cerruti used print detailing in the form of paisley silks, teamed with checks.
JUUN
Amongst his minimal monochrome collection, JUUN’s use of scribbles and hand drawn notes added another layer of interest.
Givenchy
Kind of print Ricardo Tisci returned to Paris Fashion week, this time with a slightly distorted floral arrangement.
Junya Watanabe
Junya’s SS15 collection utilised patchwork and printed denim pieces.
Yohji Yamamoto
Yohiji returns with super-subtle botanical inspired prints for SS15.
Issey Miyake
Issey Miyake’s collection took a turn towards abstract with paint splatters, lagoon inspired patters, and a super-kitsch pineapple print.
