As the new season creeps up on us, I’ve teamed up with Canali to look at some of the biggest Spring/Summer trends. From the catwalks of the world’s fashion capitols, to menswear’s finest streetstylers, here’s five big trends I’ve picks for next season.
The Cuban Collar
Airy, leigh weight, and more refined that a t-shirt, the Cuban collared shirt is a must have! Revive your winter wardrobe by switching from your standard, oxford collar to these wide-open shirts. While the great British weather may not always allow for this style, it’s certainly one to pack for Summer holidays. Canali have produced these classics in everything from block colours, to bold prints.
Orange is the New Back
By far, my favourite colour of the season is orange. This warm hue is flattering on all skin tones, allowing you to wear head-to-toe if you’re feeling brave, or just a pop of colour if you’re looking to experiment with trends. From light weight outerwear, to super-soft collared t-shirt, Canali have this season’s biggest colour covered.
The Double-Breasted Jacket
Somewhat of a staple with the streetstylers of London, the double-breasted jacket has never really disappeared from our wardrobes, usually mixed and matched in true, eccentric, London style. This season, however, it’s returned as part of smart, coordinating suits or tonal colour pallets – the Canali man wears a DB jacket as part of both a smart and casual wardrobe.
British weather dictates that a mac is as much a summer essential as it is for any other season. While the weather may be dull, your wardrobe needn’t be! Both the catwalks, and streets have been filled with light weight, summer-ready rainwear in an array of colours. This season Canali are brightening up even a rainy day with their bold colour choices!
If bold colours aren’t your thing, there’s a more toned down tread for you – head-to-toe, neutral colour ways. Much like the monochrome approach, these looks are made up of subtle variations of the same colours – great for lazy dressers who don’t have time to figure out what goes together. Canali have used neutral greys, nudes, and stone tones, as well as more Mediterranean hues to create spring/summer colour ways.
